    Jose and Annett's Video

    They're not models, I swear

But they look like they are, right?

I am one of two photographers shooting Jose & Annett's wedding later in July. We got together not too long ago to shoot their engagement portraits at Fair Park. Although it was hot, we had a great time. I just could not take a bad picture of these two! They were game for anything and somehow always knew how to pose for each shot, it was amazing.

Jose and Annett, we are so excited to photograph your special day! I know you love to dance and will be doing a lot of it at your reception, I can't wait for the party!

    Looking For 2009 Senior Reps!

    ATTENTION 2009 SENIORS!

Marcy Jordan Photography is now accepting applications for 2009 Senior Rep positions!

I am currently looking for some motivated DFW Area High School Seniors who'd like to receive a free senior portrait sitting. That's right...I said FREE!

Here's how it works: If you agree to become one of my 2009 Senior Reps, I will waive my $150 sitting fee for your senior portraits. In exchange, your job will be to spread the word about Marcy Jordan Photography to all your fellow 2009 Senior friends and classmates.

For every Senior you refer to me that books and pays in full for a senior portrait session, you will receive a $25 Visa Gift Card from me. Everyone can use free money, right?! And the best part is...there is no limit on how many gift cards you can receive. As an added bonus, if you refer 10 or more friends, you will receive an additional $100 Visa Gift Card.

Send me an email right away if you are interested, I have a limited number of positions open. You don't want to miss out on this sweet deal.

    Princess Jacie

Once upon a time there was a Princess named Jacie.

Jacie's Mommy and Daddy were so happy when they discovered Jacie was on the way, and so was Grammy! Soon the Princess joined us and everyone who loves her declared her to be the most beautiful baby in the land.

Now Princess Jacie is almost 1 year old and her Mommy and Grammy asked Marcy Jordan Photography to document the important event! Not only was she pretty in pink, she also showed off her lovely ladybug costume.

    Happy Almost 1st Birthday, Jacie!

    OKC Memorial Continued

    "The Chairs"

The fence was particularly touching to me. It was heartbreaking to see the sweet momentos people have left there, particularly the ones for the children.

    "The Fence"

God bless all those that were lost.

    OKC Memorial

This weekend Chad, my husband, and I took a short road trip to Oklahoma City and visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
Pictures do not do the memorial justice. I immediately felt the impact of where I was standing the moment I stepped under The Survivor Tree and looked down at what was once 5th street and is now the Reflecting Pool.
Everything was peaceful and calm, and still you could feel the sadness of what happened here.

Here are some of the pictures I took on our visit. In the first one above, I was standing under the gate on the opposite side of the Reflecting Pool when this woman in a beautiful red dress stopped right where you see her. Perfect timing, I love that photo.
The emotion surrounding the memorial inspired me and I have too many photos to put in one post, so I will continue with more in my next post.
